Judges Report
Thank you to the Kennel Club for the invitation to judge the Obreedience competition at Crufts. I would also like to thank my stewards : Sally Corbett, my scribe, Andrea Bolden, who very competently brought the teams into the arena and Jan West who called the rounds and directed the individual exercises without making one mistake.
I felt for the teams this year as having done it as the team leader of the Corgis in 2014 when we won the inaugural competition, and therefore knew how nervous all the teams were.
After the meeting at Stoneleigh it was a big surprise to see the change in all of you. Obviously there were bits and pieces and some mistakes but overall you were all fantastic and well done to you for practising and I was impressed with your outfits.
There was a run-off for first place between the Tollers and the Shetland Sheepdogs which involved the reserves, and they to complete a near perfect retrieve, and so it turned out that the Sheltie won this, giving them first place.
Well done to all the teams who took part, after completing the selection process to see which teams would compete in the Obreedience competition
