Novia Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers

Tollers for short, are the smallest of the retrievers, so are part of the gundog group. They are an intelligent breed that’s full of fun. They are ideal for obedience, as they love to learn and then show off what they know.

Our team are:

Karen Smith and Chaos (Decoyman’s Piper Dino 9yr old male). Karen and Chaos are currently working A&B. Chaos loves to entertain and often sings us a song, listen out for him in the parade. Karen in a Support Worker, working with the Elderly and is the Treasurer of The Toller Club of Great Britain.

Hazel Strevens and Ember (Decoymans Piper Cinder @Tollisty a 5yr old female) Hazel and Ember are currently working in Beginners. Ember is multi talented and also excels at Gun Dog Work. Hazel runs her own dog walking and pet sitting business, is a breed Judge and Chair of The Toller Club of Great Britain.

Natalie Kemp and Nemo (Redaurora Dreamsicle a 2yr old male)  Natalie and Nemo started competing last season and they have won out of the Introductory class. Nemo is a skilled Dock Jumper, and they both travel the country in a dog display team showcasing the KCGC Bronze and Silver Awards. Natalie is a Vet Nurse and a keen equestrienne.

Sam Savoury and Kaisa (Corlitgold Malila of Croftwell an 8yr old female) This is Sam and Kaisa’s first foray into obedience, showing you can teach an older dog new tricks.

Kaisa is very successful in the breed ring having been Reserve Best Bitch at Crufts, and is also Grade 7 in agility. Sam works with disadvantaged children and is the Working Secretary of The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club UK.

Reserve is Joanna Mayston and Havoc ( Decoymans Piper Blaze a 5yr old male) Havoc belongs to Karen and they are currently working Novice. Havoc and Ember and litter mates, so watch out for the rivalry. Jo runs her own Dog Training and Walking business, and competes very successfully with her rescue B.C.s in obedience and Heelwork To Music. She has threatened to come dressed as a duck (but we shall see).

Behind the scenes help has come from Neil, Alison and Ben and of course our Team Toller Cheerleaders Ava and Myla.
